WELCOME TO A WORLD RUN BY
Another day of work done. I didn't get a whole lot done, but I'm happy with what I accomplished. I finished up the base colors on Ariel, started painting details on her fin, bra, and hair, and painted her eyes and mouth. Still no hands though. Whoops! I'll paint them eventually.

I finally got to work on this! Yay! I got Flounder and Sebastian both sketched and painted and got some good base colors down for Ariel. I wasn't happy with any version of her hands that I tried to sketch out, so I've just left them out for now. But I'm really happy with what I got done with today. I can't wait till I can work on it again! Stay tuned!
And she's finally done! I'm really happy how she turned out. I love painting princesses and Ariel is one of my favorites!
I am starting a new painting for my friend's sister. These are some progress pictures from today. I hope to get it done pretty soon.
So during the summer I have been working at a pool in my hometown. They had a sign calling for mural ideas to be painted on the walls of the club house (our indoor area). Another girl was painting the wall on the other side of the building but this wall was blank. It came up in conversation one day with the manager that I paint and I showed her some of my work that I had done in the past. I'll have to post those on here sometime, I'll get on that one day. But she liked the idea of doing an Ariel mural. Which I loved because I LOVE Disney and I LOVE The Little Mermaid! So now this wall is mine to paint, and I'm so excited! So these are some reference images that I used to sketch and plan design. I started drawing Ariel on the wall in chalk one day when it was slow at the pool, but I wasn't quite sure where I wanted everything else in the picture. I then decided to use Snapchat to help me. I took a picture of the wall and made my reference images into stickers that I could place on the wall without committing to their placement. This was a great idea and it really helped me lock in my design. So now I have a wall to paint and a design to paint it with. Wish me luck! I'll keep posting updates as I work on it. I think it's going to turn out great!
